The main hall is a large flexible space, approximately 20m x 9m, suitable for a variety of uses, from charity sales and coffee mornings, to dances and staged events. It has a sprung wooden floor said to be one of the best dance floors in the area.
The hall can accommodate 150 people at tables or 180 in close seating format. Tables and chairs are available from a store with direct access to the hall.
To one end of the hall is a removable stage, consisting of modular, square units which bolt together in a range of layouts to form a very solid platform. There is a full lighting rig with control panel, and stage curtaining. The PA system includes roaming hand-held or lapel microphones and a hearing loop. A projection screen is mounted above the stage.
Skittles and the necessary equipment for 2 alleys are available for use in the main hall.
The modern kitchen is well equipped to support events in the hall, whether for making teas and coffees or for catering for large functions. There is plenty of working space and two serving hatches open into the main hall.
The Committee Room is suitable for separate hire for meetings etc, or it can be used in conjunction with the main hall, for example as a separate bar area or as a changing room for performers.
There is a small bar/serving area, with a sink and a microwave.
There is full wheelchair access into the hall and a separate, fully wheelchair accessible disabled toilet. There is also a baby changing facility which is located in the disabled toilet.
Externally there is parking for 30 cars, shared between users of the hall and the playing fields, with the possibility of additional dry-weather parking on the playing fields.
The Children’s Play Area is managed by the Kington Langley Playing Fields Association but there is free public access. Hall hirers who are holding a children’s party often find this a useful extra facility.
The Playing Fields are also managed by the Kington Langley Playing Fields Association. There is the possibility of hiring an area of the playing fields alongside the hall for outside functions or camping. Please contact 01249 750329 for further information.
