Mobile Library

The next visits of the Chippenham Mobile Library to Kington Langley are on Saturday 27th April and then Saturday 11th May. It will be in the village hall car park from 9.20 to 10 am.

Bookends – Simon & Garfunkel Through The Years

What a brilliant concert here in Kington Langley Village Hall!

Quirky Quiz

Congratulations to “The Other Enders”, the winning team at the Quirky Quiz evening held in November. The “Nosey Parkers” came a very close second, followed by the “Quizzy Lizzies” in third place.

The total amount raised on the night for the Pavilion Replacement Project was £627.75. Thank you to all who supported the event. Read on for a report and some of the answers!  (read more…)

As the year draws to an end, members of the Croquet Club are pleased to see the grass growing on our new lawns. We were very lucky with the weather as there was the warm period after seed had been sown. Crows and pigeons have also been enjoying the seed. Currently, the fencing around the lawns is the temporary fence provided by the contractors. We will have to replace this once the contractors finally finish. They will be carrying out the initial mowing for us. We will also have to purchase new lawn mowing equipment capable of a very fine cut

Our last fundraising event of the year was the Big Breakfast. It was a very successful morning with many of you coming along to support us and enjoy the company. Thank you!

People have been very supportive this year attending our various events. We are currently running a Grand Draw and this will be drawn at the Club’s Annual Meal in January. Please  contact Julia if you would like to buy a ticket. We have had to draw on interest-free loans from members and friends to enable us to finish paying for the work, so fundraising will be continuing next year. You haven’t heard the last from us!  (read more…)

Kington Langley Village Hall and Recreation Ground CIO: Notice of Annual General Meeting.
All inhabitants of the Parish of Kington Langley are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Kington Langley Village Hall and Recreation Ground CIO which will take place at the Kington Langley Village Hall on Wednesday 4th July. The AGM will commence at 7.30pm and will be followed by a meeting of the trustees.

Kington Langley Helping Hands

Christmas Bingo – Wednesday 15th November, 7.30 – 9.30, £1 per book or 6 for £5. Refreshments available.

Kington Langley Croquet Club invite you to join them for a Big Breakfast on Saturday 18th November, between 9 am and 11.30 am, in the Village Hall. Raising funds towards the completion of the new croquet lawn. Details from Julia on 01249 750318 or

August is an exciting month for the Kington Langley Croquet Club as the development work begins towards creating two full sized lawns. Preparatory work will be taking place towards the end of the month, prior to the contractors starting work in September.  (read more…)
