THE ARTS SOCIETY KINGTON LANGLEY is an affiliated member of The Arts Society, a leading education charity with a global network of 385 societies bringing people together through a shared interest in the arts. We meet monthly at 11.00am on the 1st Tuesday of the month (except August and September) to hear excellent lecturers share their specialist knowledge about the arts. Our meeting place is The Village Hall, Church Rd, Kington Langley, Chippenham SN15 5NJ.
In November we had 25 days with some rain with a total for the month of 4.55 inches (115.57mm). We had 11 days over 10˚C (50 ˚F) and 18 nights below 4.5˚C (40 ˚F) with 7 nights below 0 ˚C (32 ˚F). We had frost on 13 days. This November was slightly warmer than both 2018 and 2017 but wetter by about 1 inch (25mm) of rainfall.
Thanks to Grant at Yapp Brothers Wine Merchants for a fantastic evening last Friday. As usual, the wines were exceptional with a wide range of varieties and style to suit all tastes and budgets. The food was delicious.
Friday 29th November: Scotland! By The Latebloomers . Doors & bar open 7.00pm; performance starts at 7.30pm. (Cash bar only; no cards.) A hilarious three-man physical comedy. Come along for a wild ride, with fishing, hunting, whisky, short bread, rhythm, folk songs and the spirit of Scotland!
