6th July, 7.30 pm – open to all villagers. The organisations that look after the village hall and the recreation ground have changed recently and merged into a new charitable incorporated organisation (CIO).
The first AGM of the new CIO will be held in the village hall on 6th July at 7.30pm and all villagers are warmly invited to attend (although only those over 18 may vote). You will be able to find out about how the new organisation will be run and the exciting plans for the hall and the recreation ground in the year ahead, and make any suggestions about what you would like to see happen. There will be an opportunity to hear from the groups who make regular use of the facilities and find out what services are on offer. A reception will be held after the AGM with an opportunity to chat to the trustees and find out more about the hall and recreation ground.
The AGM will also elect the elected charity trustees and this is an opportunity for you to get involved in the running of the CIO by joining the Board of Trustees. If you are over 18 and would like to apply, please inform the secretary by 21st June that you wish to stand for election and include a nomination from a villager who is willing to support your application. As the CIO is regulated by the Charity Commission, all prospective trustees will need to provide their name, date of birth and contact details. Please contact the Secretary for full details at firstname.lastname@example.org.
However, you do not need to be interested in joining the Board of Trustees to come to the AGM! Just come and find out more about the CIO and/or offer up your comments.
