The Awareness Session held in January was well attended. A second session is planned for May.

Two public access defibrillators have now been installed in the village and the third is due to be fitted shortly. Sufficient funds to purchase the 3 machines and their 8 year care package were raised in 6 months through generous donations from the village community.

65 people attended an awareness session in the village hall on 6th January to learn more about the defibrillators, when they might be used and how to use them. Julia Doel from South Western Ambulance Service gave an excellent presentation on how to respond to finding a person collapsed, how to perform CPR, through to using a defibrillator where appropriate. She engaged well with the audience and gave clear and very informative demonstrations.

A second awareness session has been arranged for those who were unable to attend the January meeting. This will be on Saturday 21st May at 10 am, in the village hall. Julia Doel will again be running the session.
